Former All-Ireland winning captain with Kilkenny, Andy Comerford believes Kilkenny are now 'comfortable' playing both the long and short style of hurling.
The comments follow Kilkenny's comfortable win over Galway in the opening round of the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship in UPMC Nowlan Park on Saturday.

"Short or long, I think we're comfortable now, we have the ability to win the long ball, we have the ability to go short," Comerford said after the match.
"Long or short, we have to vary it up," he continued, adding, "the strength of the players and the physical fitness of the players and their strength in the tackle is a big plus going forward."
"They (Galway) are a team in transition and Galway GAA folk really realise that, it takes three or four years to build a strong team and they're in development definitely."
