A court in the UK has set a trial date for a man charged with manslaughter following the death of a man from Kilkenny, earlier this year.
Michael Barron, who was originally from Piltown, and had lived in Waterford, died on Sunday, January 26 last in Blackley, a suburb to the north of Manchester city.
According to Greater Manchester Police, detectives charged Josh Baxter (18/11/1997) of Blackley with manslaughter following the death of the 38-year-old.
This charge is in relation to an investigation into a man’s death after the ambulance service responded to a report of a concern for the welfare of a man from an address on Lakeside Rise, Blackley on Sunday 26 January at 10.15pm, the police statement added.
Mr Baxter appeared before a Crown Court following the charge. A provisional date was set for his trial, of July 21, 2025. No plea was entered and Mr Baxter was remanded in custody.
