Bord Bia Bloom has announced that Ballyfoyle Pastoral Group will be joining this year’s exciting event line-up with its postcard garden, Turning Back Time in our Garden - a year after the group was an award winner at the popular event.
With just three weeks to go until the festival of flowers, food and fun returns to its home in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, organisers are encouraging visitors to plan their visit and enjoy a great day out this summer.
The festival expects to welcome over 100,000 visitors across its 70-acre site. Alongside 21 stunning Show Gardens, green-fingered visitors to Bloom can enjoy the perfectly formed Postcard Gardens supported by Tirlán CountryLife. These petite ‘postcard’ size green canvases tell stories from community groups around Ireland. Ballyfoyle Pastoral Group will design the Turning Back Time in our Garden at this year’s festival. The backdrop of this garden, created by the group offers windows into the past and highlights the importance of spending time in the garden.
In addition, popular features will return along with some exciting new demonstrations, panel discussions, talks and performances. These include breathtaking plants in the Nursery Village and The Plant Emporium, live demonstrations and interactive workshops including floral crown making in the new Botanical Hub, and exhibitions of Botanical and Floral Art and AOIFA’s (Association of Irish Floral Artists) Floral Art Competition.
