A well-known women’s fashion and clothing store is to close down after many years of business in Kilkenny City in the coming months, despite some murmurs amongst some local shoppers there may have been a last gasp U-Turn.
Sally West has been a firm favourite with both local shoppers and visitors to Kilkenny. The city centre store stocks a wide range of leading fashion brands.
Located at 5 Kieran Street in Kilkenny, a sign was erected in March announcing it is closing down and a closing down sale as a result leaving many shoppers in the locality disappointed.

A shop spokesperson told Kilkenny Live, 'we’re just playing it week by week'.
The local store is hoping to stay in operation deep into the summer with the high cost of running a local business proving difficult over recent months.
"We had a very tough year but the reaction has been phenomenal and people are sorry to see us go. They have been very nice and supportive," they said.
