Local celebrations were launched at Butler Gallery yesterday (Tuesday) with the opening of an exhibition that tells the stories of those building new lives in Kilkenny.
The gallery will also host ‘An audience with Dr Manizha Khan’ on Friday. She will tell her story of fleeing the Taliban and rebuilding her life in Ireland.
Everyone is invited to add a stitch to the embroidery table as part of the ‘Home is Here’ event — showcasing how community is our superpower.
A friendly football match will take place on Friday evening, with the Kilkenny International Team taking on a team from State Street, and on Saturday the Watergate Theatre will screen the fairytale journey of two boys from Dakar to Europe.
