'Little benefit to road users' - Kilkenny community hit out at poor signage

As featured in this week's notes section of the Kilkenny People newspaper

'What has happened to them?' - Questions raised over Kilkenny signs

Three major safety and directional signposts on the road between Coolagh and Windgap have raised questions as to what has happened to them.

They include a safety one for a minor junction and series of dangerous bends near Seskin and two very large directional ones for the major R698 junctions for Callan, Mullinahone and Kells in Coolagh and for Piltown, Mullinahone and Kilmoganny in The Glen, that in their current condition are of little benefit to road users.

ALERT: Popular Kilkenny service forced to close due to an ESB outage

Elsewhere the Tidy Towns cleaning programme has revealed bullet holes in a community-provided public amenity sign at the junction of the R697 and R698.
