Popular Kilkenny café in Thomastown closes

The Rosemary Tree Café in Thomastown has made an announcement via social media that they are closing ‘with immediate effect’.

The Kilkenny eatery cited ‘rising costs’ as the main cause.

“I would like to thank you all for your support over the years,” the shop informed followers.

The café held a prominent position on Market Street in Thomastown - and will be missed by its loyal clientele.

Thomastown Community Network, a volunteer group set up to promote and support the community in Thomastown, stated that the closure ‘is very sad news for the town’.

“The Rosemary Tree was always supportive of the community,” they added.
