Kilkenny Rugby stalwart honoured for his contributions to the sport

Kilkenny RFC stalwart Mick McGrath has been recognised for his contributions to the game of rugby and inducted in the Leinster Clubs Hall of Fame at the Leinster Metro and Provincial Clubs Dinner last week.

McGrath had an illustrious playing career but it is his impact on the coaching front that has seen him coach hundreds if not thousands of kids in our club and local schools over the years.

"It’s safe to say that nearly every one of our Senior players that came through our youth’s section was coached by Mick somewhere along that journey," Kilkenny RFC posted to social media.

"Well done Mick, always a legend in Kilkenny RFC and now officially a legend in Leinster," they added.
