The official launch of the 'Kilkenny Greats, Johnny Scully and friends CD', in aid of Mary Pierce and her honourable work with local charity, 'Kilkenny Helping the Homeless' took place on Thursday with excitement brewing across Kilkenny city and county.
The newly released CD was launched on Kay B's 'Kilkenny Greats' programme on Thursday, a show dedicated to local artists past and present on Community Radio Kilkenny City (CRKC).
The public also got an opportunity to meet some of the stars behind the production later that evening, with the launch rolling on to the Kilford Hotel for a night of celebration.
"Our thanks to Mayor of Kilkenny, Cllr. John Coonan, Mary Pierce, John Travers, Noreen Travers and Johnny Scully for joining Kay B in the studio today to launch the CD and talk about this great initiative," a radio spokesperson said.
