A meeting of relevant stakeholders is set to take place in South Kilkenny on Monday evening

'Empty promises' - meeting on Kilkenny N25 scheduled as local frustration grows

N25 Road Safety Meeting has been scheduled for Monday, September 29 at 8pm in the Rhu Glenn Hotel. 

This is a follow-up meeting, where Kilkenny County Council and the N25 Road Safety Committee will provide answers on progress to date, funding updates, and future plans. - READ DETAILS OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HERE

A spokesperson for the group said, "We need your support again, just like last time — a strong turnout is vital to keep road safety a top priority. Let’s stand together for safer roads."

Previously, Sinn Féin TD for Carlow-Kilkenny, Natasha Newsome Drennan hit out at 'empty promises' made by Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael public representatives on the matter.

"I have raised the issue in the Dáil, only to see it dismissed with vague replies," she claimed, adding, "these empty promises are an insult to the public."
