The development is planned to consist of a two-storey terrace of 10 two-bedroom duplex units, 32 three-bedroom two-storey semi-detached houses and eight four-bedroom two-storey semi-detached houses.

This application also seeks the provision of a vehicular entrance off Glendine Road, internal roads and footpaths, a stepped pedestrian access point onto Glendine Road, carparking, sheltered bicycle parking, public lighting, site landscaping, site boundaries, provision of foul and surface water disposal and all associated site works.

The planning application was received on October 1, and a decision is expected from the planning authority by November 25, 2025.

Meanwhile, in the south of the county, Abbeygate Properties Ltd is seeking permission to build a new residential development that includes 98 homes and a crèche facility at Abbeygate in Ferrybank.

This project is phase three of a larger masterplan.

The development is planned to include 44 houses, made up of 30 three-bedroom semi-detached houses and 14 four-bedroom semi-detached houses.

It will also feature three apartment blocks, each three storeys high, containing a total of 54 apartments (18 two-bedroom units and 36 one-bedroom units).

A single-storey crèche will be provided on-site, with space for around 40 children.
