Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N10 at Templemartin, County Kilkenny earlier today (Saturday, October 11).
The incident, which involved a collision between three cars, was reported shortly before 4.30pm.

The driver and sole occupant of one of the cars involved, an adult male in his 40s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An adult male and female travelling in the second car were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Gardaí and emergency services attended and the local coroner has been notified.

A full forensic collision investigation will be carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators (FCI).
The N10 is currently closed in both directions from the junction at Exit 8 of the M9 to the Hebron Road roundabout. Local diversions will remain in place overnight.
Gardaí at Kilkenny Garda Station are appealing to anyone who was travelling on the N10 at Templemartin around the time of the collision to contact them.

Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) from that section of road during the relevant period are also asked to make it available to investigating officers.
