The Criminal Assets Bureau have sold a house in Dublin which they seized from a Kilkenny farmer who has a revenue liability of €4.9 milion.

CAB sold 33 South Circular Road, Dublin 8 by auction earlier this month, for the hammer price of €750,000.

The property was seized by the Bureau on foot of its revenue enforcement powers following a 2013 revenue judgment for outstanding revenue liability in the sum of €4.9 million against Thomas McDonnell from Pollagh, Goresbridge, County Kilkenny.

This is one of a number of enforcement actions taken by the Bureau against Mr. McDonnell in pursuance of this debt.

Enforcement actions are continuing.
