A very popular charity shop in Kilkenny has posted some friendly but stern advice to people who seek to donate to them.
The message from staff at Oxfam in Kilkenny City is a simple one: "STOP! Don't dump donations when we are closed!"

The notice continues: "We love your generosity. We do not love finding bags of things waiting in the rain like abandoned puppies.
"When you leave donations outside, they get ruined, they can't be processed [and] it really annoys Suzanna.

"We are open seven days a week. Please come in when we are open and we will greet you with a smile."
