Permission sought for new eight-storey company headquarters in Kilkenny

'Clunetech Investments 1 Ltd' are seeking planning permission for the construction of an eight-storey office building on a site at the IDA Business & Technology Park, Ring Road, Loughboy, Kilkenny.

The planned building will feature rooftop amenity terraces at upper levels and plant at roof level.

The application also seeks permission for the construction of a single-storey facilities management store, a single-storey secure bicycle shelter, a single-storey ESB substation and switchroom, a single-storey refuse store and two single-storey external meeting pods.

Also sought are vehicular entrances from the existing IDA park road network, carparking and set-down, bicycle parking, a new pedestrian and cyclist entrance from Loughboy Park, internal pedestrian pathways, landscaping and amenity spaces, site lighting, boundary treatments, surface water drainage and disposal, watermain and wastewater connections to existing services, and all associated site works.

According to a cover letter submitted with the application, the building will serve as 'a new headquarters building for CluneTech'.

The cover letter also stated that "the project represents a significant investment by CluneTech in Kilkenny and has been designed to reflect the company’s values of innovation, sustainability, and forward-thinking design."
