A new speed limit is set to be introduced to a large section of the N25 in County Kilkenny.
Kilkenny County Council recently carried out an amendment to the Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws locally and beginning from from next Monday (November 10), the speed limit will be reduced from 100km/h to 80km/h on a section of the N25, from 40m north of Luffany Roundabout to 553m north of the junction of the N25 and the L7522.

The Special Speed Limit (Amendment) Bye-Laws were adopted by Kilkenny County Council in September and the amended Bye-Laws were adopted following a public consultation process.
The local authority advises motorists that the speed limit reduction, as outlined above, will be implemented from Monday, requesting those who use the route to 'take note and adhere to new signage that has been erected.'
