Reminder: Play National Lottery games responsibly
A very lucky Kilkenny man was amongst a group of winners from all over Ireland that made the trip to Lottery Headquarters this week to claim prizes across a range of draw and scratch card games.
The local man (who has not been identified) is celebrating after winning the top prize of €500,000 in the Daily Million Plus 9pm draw on Monday, November 3.

“It was a very normal Monday evening,” he said. “It was getting close to 9pm when I remembered to buy a Quick Pick online. I wouldn’t usually play Plus, but this time I did… and now look!”
The surprise didn’t end there.
When he received the email confirming his win, his family didn’t believe him at first.

“I’ve joked about winning big money before, so when I told them, they thought I was messing. It took a while to convince my wife, she didn’t believe it until I confirmed it with the claims team,” he laughed.
The Kilkenny man is looking forward to planning a celebration for his family in the future.
