Kilkenny County Council make sandbags available as flooding fears grow

High water levels at the King's River in Callan

Kilkenny County Council have confirmed that they have made sandbags available to the public as the locality manages excessive rainfall.

Thirteen locations countywide will have sandbags on site for households and businesses who require them.

A Status Yellow rainfall warning is in place until 9am on Saturday morning with "significant rainfall accumulation" expected.

High water levels have already hit a number of County Kilkenny towns, with swollen river levels and overflow onto roads pictured across the county. - SEE MORE HERE
