An Garda Síochana had an exchange of views with a resident of the Butts area in Kilkenny City on Tuesday afternoon.
Members of the Roads Policing Unit picked garda traffic cones left on the street when a lady claimed they were hers.
"'They're my cones' claimed the lady," Kilkenny gardaí posted to social media.

"'Well actually they're ours' was the reply. As tempting as it is, we would ask people to refrain from 'borrowing' cones as technically you could end up a 'guest' of ours.
"Just a word to the wise!!," the post concluded.
