Ormonde Villa have wished club player Huw Lawlor the "best of luck on his travels" as he departs the Kilkenny fold for exciting adventures abroad.
The Kilkenny and O'Loughlin Gaels full-back has been part of the county panel since 2018, winning three All-Stars in a black and amber jersey.

However, in a blow to local GAA fans, it's been widely reported over recent months that Lawlor (29) and inter-county team-mate Billy Ryan intend to go travelling in 2026 with Derek Lyng expected to be without their services for the new season.
But, before jetting off to the other side of the world, it was the big ball rather than hurl and sliotar for the O'Loughlins stalwart, who played a number of matches for Division 2 side Ormonde Villa, a club located in the home parish of the powerful hurling defender.
