Meanwhile, the Watergate Urban Park is set to officially open this Christmas with an exciting concert scheduled for Friday, December 19 at 6pm.

The new local location hopes to provide a setting that can be used for a number of events as well as thoroughfare for pedestrians and cyclists, linking Abbey Street and Parliament Street with the adjacent Abbey Quarter Development as well.

Next month, performer R.S.A.G. will mark the beginning of a new era at the new venue, bringing his one-man show to Kilkenny's Yulefest festival, with music fans from near and far set to flock to the Marble City.
