An update has been issued in relation to a two vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the N24 near Mooncoin, County Kilkenny, yesterday (Sunday) at approximately 1.30pm.
The incident saw two drivers conveyed to hospital for treatment of injuries, and Waterford Fire Service (who attended the scene) have since confirmed more details.

"It may look quite bad but thankfully all occupants were wearing seatbelts and vehicle airbags did their job and there were no serious injuries," a spokesperson said.

"A roof and door removal was needed for patient extrication safety."
Gardaí have since confirmed that the road has reopened.
