The local fire service have issued an update after firefighters were spotted scrambling to the scene of a fire early this morning in Thomastown, County Kilkenny.
"We attended a fire at Chapel Lane, Thomastown at 05.48hrs this morning (December 17)," a spokesperson for the fire service confirmed to Kilkenny Live.

"Two fire brigade units attended and the fire was quickly extinguished."
