Kilkenny County Council has confirmed that new bus stop locations are being analysed with 'ambitious plans' for additional routes in the pipeline for a Park and Ride facility.

City-based councillors have been vocal advocates of the service, six years on from the introduction of the successful city bus operation.

Latest figures show 47% of the local population use the KK2 service, while 53% avail of KK1.
