RIP: Sadness as stalwart of Kilkenny Ladies Gaelic Football passes away suddenly

There has been an outpouring of sympathy in the LGFA community following the untimely passing of a 'great servant' with Kilkenny LGFA.

John Gorey served as manager of the county's junior team in 2023 as well as a co-founder and past Chairperson of Kilkenny City Football Club.

Kilkenny LGFA offered their 'most sincere condolences' to the Gorey family, stating, "John was a great servant of ladies football in Kilkenny.

"May John Rest in Peace," they added.

All-Ireland Junior champions Muckalee also paid tribute, writing, "Deepest sympathy to John’s family at this difficult time, may he rest in peace."

"Condolences to Conor and the extended Gorey family. May he rest in peace," a spokesperson for Kilkenny LGFA added.
