The Shamrocks have confirmed that TJ Reid has been nominated as Kilkenny senior hurling captain for the 2026 season, with Darragh Corcoran nominated as vice-captain.
"We extend our heartfelt congratulations to both men and wish them the very best for the year ahead in black and amber," a spokesperson for the Shamrocks said.

Meanwhile, Dicksboro's Caoimhe Dowling has been appointed captain of the Kilkenny senior camogie team.
"I feel extremely privileged to be captain of a team with such a dedicated and hard working group of players and management," Dowling commented.
"I want us to represent the Kilkenny jersey with pride," she added.
