Kilkenny man accused of drugs offences has case adjourned

The matter was adjourned for a probation report

A defendant accused of having drugs in his possession for personal use and for sale and supply to others had his case adjourned at Kilkenny District Court.

Anthony Kealy, 15 Seville Grove, Callan Road, Kilkenny is accused of having €5,500 worth of drugs in his possession for personal use and sale and supply to others at his home address at Seville Grove, Margaretsfield, Callan Road, Kilkenny on August 22, 2024 contrary to sections 3 and 15 of The Misuse of Drugs Act.

The court heard that on the date in question gardaí searched the property and seized the drugs and a phone which showed that the defendant was involved in the sale and supply of drugs.

The defendant has five previous convictions.

Judge Geraldine Carthy adjourned the matters before the court were adjourned for a probation report and for sentencing to April 20.
