A number of Kilkenny pubs and restaurants are on cloud nine after receiving nominations for awards at the upcoming Irish Restaurant Awards.
Both Langtons and The Marble City Bar have been added to a long list of local nominees.

The Irish Restaurant Awards celebrate the very best of Ireland’s food, hospitality, and dining culture. Now in their 17th year, the awards have grown to become one of the most respected and eagerly anticipated events in the Irish culinary calendar.
Each year, the programme receives over 160,000 public nominations and incorporates more than 6,000 hospitality businesses from across the country.
Judged through a combination of public voting, mystery guest inspections, and expert industry panels, the Awards ensure a fair and comprehensive evaluation of Ireland’s top hospitality offerings.

"We're beyond delighted to be nominated at the Irish Restaurant Awards 2026! A fantastic 12 nominations in total," The Marble City posted to social media.
"A huge thank you to all who voted!! Looking forward to a fantastic awards night," they added.
Meanwhile, Langtons were equally as thrilled with their selection.
"We are absolutely delighted to be nominated for a huge 13 awards at the Irish Restaurant Awards 2026," the city hotel said.
"A massive thank you to everyone who vote, we truly appreciate your support, and we look forward the awards night."
