CK United extended their unbeaten run to three matches with a 1-0 win away to Bray Wanderers in their Women’s Development League game in the Woodlands, Greystones on Sunday.
An early penalty from Emma Cullen was enough to secure all three points as United grinded out the result in the backdrop of a strong sea breeze.
The Carlow-Kilkenny side came into the fixture on the back of a draw against Treaty United U23s as they attempted to keep in touch with the early Group B pace setters, Shamrock Rovers U23s.

The visitors had a perfect start and grabbed the decisive goal inside a quarter of an hour. Cullen was fouled inside the box and stepped up herself to take the spot kick, making no mistake to slot home into the bottom corner for her second goal of the season.
United were able to see out the win from there and move up to fifth in the table, just two points off the top.
After four matches in four weeks, CK United now have a break until April 12 when they’ll host Cobh Ramblers while Bray Wanderers will seek a first win of the campaign on March 29, also against Ramblers.
