Electric atmosphere at St Patrick's Day parade in Graignamanagh

Hundreds lined the streets to cheer on the participants

Hundreds of people lined the streets of Graignamanagh to watch this year's St Patrick's Day parade which was a resounding success.

A sea of green washed over the town as young and old alike turned out in their numbers to celebrate St Patrick and to cheer on the participants in the parade.

Shortly after 12.15am St Patrick himself made an appearance at the parade and was followed members of the New Ross Pipe Band with a rousing rendition of A Nation Once Again.

Local schools and sports club put in an impressive effort with a variety of floats as did a number of community groups.

Vintage cars also took part in the community event in what was a fantastic show of community spirit.
