A driver in Kilkenny has been issued with a fine and penalty points after gardaí took issue with their tinted windows following a local parade.
An Garda Síochána Kilkenny shared details of the incident on social media, highlighting the risks associated with excessive window tinting.
According to gardaí, a Roads Policing Unit (RPU) officer came across the vehicle shortly after the parade and noted that the vehicle had 'black front windows' , and a 'limo tint' covering approximately '50% of the windscreen'.

The driver was issued with a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice (FCPN), resulting in an €80 fine and two penalty points.
Gardaí also instructed the driver to rectify the issue immediately.
In a statement accompanying the post, gardaí expressed frustration at the situation, saying: “You’re having a laugh surely… Not on. You have to be able to see out.”
