LATEST: Positive news for St Luke's in Kilkenny as hospital manages bed capacity

St Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny

There are no patients waiting for a trolley in the emergency department at St Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny today (Tuesday), and no patients are waiting on the ward, according to the latest NMO Trolley Watch figures.

Nationally, 584 patients are waiting for beds, 358 are waiting in the emergency department, and 398 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

Over 400 patients were treated on trolleys last month, the highest February figure since 2022 and more than three times last year’s numbers.

Restrictions to combat the spread of norovirus remain in place. Visiting is at the discretion of Ward Managers.
