RIP: Kilkenny community in 'great shock' following sudden passing in area

RIP

The death has occurred of Mary Love, (née Loughlin) Fr. Raftice Place, Moneenroe.

Her sudden and untimely passing has come as a great shock to her family and the wider community. Mary was a great neighbour to all in Fr. Raftice Place and would always go that extra mile whenever the need arose. She worked for a time at Comer International Textile Mills but the majority of her employment was in the caring profession. Mary was so kind and
conscientious to residents at Lunula Aurora, Brookhaven Nursing Home and Gowran Nursing Home.

Highly regarded she had a heart of gold which she gladly shared with her family and community. The large turnout for the obsequies was testimony of how she was regarded,  Mary was a loyal supporter of Kilkenny through thick and thin and would so have approved to hear The Rose of Mooncoin as she left the Church for the last time.

Following Requiem Mass celebrated in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Moneenroe by Fr. Tom Corcoran P.P. Clogh removal was to Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin for Cremation Service.

Predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary Loughlin, sisters Margaret, Sheila and brother Paddy, sister-in-law Rita, brother-in-laws Owen and Tommy.

Mary will be deeply missed by daughters Siobhan, Aoife, and Mary; son Adrian, grandchildren Molly, Ryan, Alfie, Shay, Erin and Aoife ; sisters Kathleen and Elizabeth; sons-in-law Seamus and Kevin; daughter-in-law Jess ; Aoife's partner Colm; brothers-in-law Seamie, Paddy, Billy ; sister-in-law Joan ; her lifelong friends Frances and Ann ; other relatives and a large circle of friends; her colleagues in Aurora; and her two furry friends Ollie and Ruby.
