In the second episode of our champions series, Marc Drennan, Richie Doyle and Jack Kelly join the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast to look back on Barrow Rangers' victorious JJ Kavanagh Junior Hurling Championship campaign last year and the impact manager John McDonald had on the panel.
The Paulstown/Goresbridge club won a first Kilkenny junior hurling crown in some 35 years when they forced an extra-time success over O'Loughlin Gaels in UPMC Nowlan Park.
It was the third game in a row they were forced into extra-time but like against Emeralds and Galmoy, they weren't to be found wanting as they battled to a two-point success.
