Waterside Guesthouse in the picturesque Kilkenny town of Graignamanagh has fully reopened for the 2026 season following its recovery from devastating recent flooding.
Work has progressed rapidly at the popular premises in recent weeks, with a range of restoration efforts completed, including the installation of a brand-new floor.
The guesthouse is run by husband-and-wife team Brian and Brigid Roberts, and features a well-loved daytime café and evening restaurant that attracts visitors from near and far.

For almost three decades, they have welcomed thousands of guests to Graignamanagh, building a strong reputation for hospitality in the heart of the town.
On social media, the business playfully confirmed their reopening: "Back in action, 7 days a week. We are invincible, we have beaten the floods and surely nothing now can stop us from world domination!"
Reacting to the positive news was Kilkenny LEADER Partnership who commented: "Well done to all the Waterside team. You’re an institution now!"
