The woman was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries. She was pronounced deceased yesterday evening.

Kilkenny County Council has confirmed road closures will be in place for the Streets of Kilkenny 5k Road Race, taking place on Thursday, April 2nd at 7.30pm.
Access to Kilkenny city centre will be restricted between from 6.45pm to 9.30pm.
The Route will start on The Parade, carrying onto High Street, Parliament Street, Irishtown, over Saint Francis Bridge, Old Mart Road, Castlecomer New Road to Hebron Road Roundabout, John Street, Rose Inn Street and finish at The Parade.

Traffic will be facilitated in one direction from Dean Street to the Castlecomer Road via St. Francis Bridge and inbound along Castlecomer Road to the John Street/Dublin Road Junction.
Delays are expected and organisers are asking the public to respect the stewards and observe the diversion signs provided.
Kilkenny County Council appreciates your co-operation and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
