Paulstown Boxing Club enjoyed a hugely successful two weekends at the Leinster Championships in Kilkenny, finishing with an impressive haul of six gold and three silver medals.

The club’s boxers delivered a series of standout performances in the ring, with a number of gold medal-winning displays highlighting their strength.

Several fighters battled through tough contests to reach the top of the podium, while others showed resilience and determination in closely fought bouts to secure silver medals.

The results mean Paulstown now have seven boxers progressing to the Irish Championships, which take place the week after Easter. Those advancing are Francis, Ava, Sofia, Lauren, Emmie, Annalise and Lucy.

It's all go at Paulstown Boxing Club this week as the Ollie O’Neill Memorial Day will be held tomorrow (Saturday) to honour Ollie, celebrating his love of boxing, hurling, and community.

O'Neill was a founding member of the Paulstown Boxing Club and coached many fighters of national and international acclaim from their base at the Community Centre.

His eldest son Darren captained the Irish Boxing Team at the London Olympics in 2012, the same year his native Paulstown Boxing Club celebrated 40 years in existence.
