Nine-time All-Ireland winner with Kilkenny, Tommy Walsh, has humorously recalled the pre-match preparation for the panel on the morning of an All-Ireland Final.
"You had a bit of craic until Crown Plaza," the proud Tullaroan clubman said in a pervious edition of the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast.
"But it's when you got to Crown Plaza, that's when it all changed," Walsh remarked, jokingly stating, "you couldn't let Cody see you laughing."

"Once we got back on the bus, you got your head right and focused on who you were going to be marking, because listen, it wasn't going to benefit you too much thinking about it too much because then you have dead energy coming up to the match and you're drained.
"There was a place for everyone. The quiet guys that wanted to focus and liked everything in order, there was a place for them up the front," he added.
