Champions are crowned as Evergreen and 'Fort play in top of the table clash- Kilkenny Live

Evergreen sealed their ninth league title in a row on Sunday morning, beating fellow title chasers Fort Rangers on the Kells Road.

The Cuffesgrange team needed a result to keep their title hopes alive with 14 points between the teams before kick off.

Two first half goals from Sam hickey (29th min) and David Grincell (45th min) gave the winners a cushion at half-time.

Ryan Maguire did strike back in the 82nd minute but it wasn't enough to rescue a result for the away side.

"Incredible dedication from this group to come back year after year," Evergreen posted to social media.

"The unseen hours of hard work that goes into this group is a credit to all involved! Enjoy the celebrations men."
