Kilkenny minor hurling squad named for Leinster Championship

Kilkenny minor hurling manager Gordon Byrne has named a 37-man panel for the upcoming Leinster Championship which commences next weekend.

There are 15 clubs included with defending county minor champions Dicksboro leading the way with six players including team captain Jack Treacy.

The Cats have been placed in a group alongside Dublin and Laois/Antrim but in a change to other years, all the games in the round-robin will criss-cross with the other group and the top two on each side advancing to the semi-finals.

Kilkenny will start off away to Offaly/Westmeath next Saturday before then hosting Galway in UPMC Nowlan Park a week later.

The final group game will see the Noresiders travel to face Wexford on the May Bank Holiday weekend.
