Eva Hoyne from Cuffesgrange secured an incredible fifth place at the championships
The Deirdre Maher School of Irish Dancing, based in Kilkenny with classes held at the Watershed and Xquiste Dance Studio on Hebron Road, is celebrating outstanding success at the recent World Irish Dancing Championships.
Dancers aged between 10 and 15 represented the school with great pride, following a year of dedicated training and commitment.

Leading the achievements was Eva Hoyne from Cuffesgrange, who secured an incredible fifth place finish out of 150 competitors, earning a coveted World globe. Ella McCormack from Ballysloe, Tipperary also delivered a remarkable performance, achieving a top 15 placingout of 160 competitors.
Several dancers returned home with world medals, including Hannah Corrigan from Kilmanagh placing 35th out of 135 competitors; Evelyn McCormack from Ballysloe, Tipperary placing 29th out of 150 competitors; Isabella Bolger and Muireann O’Shaughnessy from Durrow, Co. Laois.
"This is a huge achievement for all involved, and a testament to the hard work and dedication shown by these young dancers throughout the year," said Deirdre Maher.
