Senior stars on show as Kilkenny Under 20's face Galway this evening

Senior player Ed McDermott has been named to start for Kilkenny this evening.

Just four days after the same counties met in the Leinster Senior Championship, Kilkenny and Galway will lock horns again as they meet in the final group clash of the provincial under-20 championship tonight.

The game takes place in Portlaoise at 7.30pm and there is a lot riding on the contest with the winner going directly into a leinster semi-final with the loser into a quarter-final.

There will be a sprinkling of senior quality on show with the Galway trio of Aaron Niland, Cullen Killeen and Jason Rabbitte as well as Kilkenny's Rory Garrett and Ed McDermott all named to start.

Kilkenny's third senior star and St Kieran's College student David Barcoe misses out on the matchday squad altogether with injury.
