Cignal Infrastructure Ltd. have lodged plans with Kilkenny County Council to increase the height of a telecommunications structure in the county.

The plans submitted seek to extend the height of telecommunications support structure at Dicksboro GAA in Kilcreene from a height of 24 metres to 30 metres.

The structure will support a delta headframe carrying antennas, dishes, associated equipment, ground-based equipment cabinets, fencing and all associated site development works for high-speed wireless data and broadband services.

A decision from Kilkenny County Council is due by January 14, 2023.
