Eddie Langton wins 'Hotel General Manager of the Year' - Kilkenny Live

Eddie Langton has scooped the title of 'Hotel General Manager of the Year' at the 2023 Icons of Whisky Ireland awards.

The winners were announced last week in Dublin where 22 awards were handed out across five different categories.

The awards were split into five categories: Bar Awards; Communication Awards; Retail Awards; People Awards and Producer Awards. 

Eddie certainly knows a thing or two about hospitality, having spent a good majority of his lifetime in the industry and bringing that experience to his role as Managing Director of Langton’s.

When asked about the future of Langton’s recently, Eddie mentioned exciting plans are on the horizon with the expansion of new bedrooms and recent new developments such as the revival of Bridies Store, and the development of their pastry departments, afternoon teas and cocktail offerings.

“But one of our biggest assets is not the building, our food offerings, our bars… Our biggest asset is our staff, our people...us, and it is like one big family. Without our staff we could not have achieved what we have today,” Eddie said.
