(Mai) Brennan (née Coogan)

The death has occurred of Mary (Mai) Brennan (née Coogan), Lower Yellow Road, Castlecomer, Kilkenny, on 19th February, 2022. Peacefully, in the tender care of the staff at the Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Carlow, in her 103rd year. Pre-deceased by her husband Michael and son Johnny, daughter-in-law Anne, sister Kathleen, brothers Paddy, Tom and Liam. Mai will be sadly missed by her sons Billy, Tom and Mike; daughters Maureen and Katy, daughters-in-law Theresa and Mary, sons-in-law Tom and Brian, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide community of friends.

Reposing at Mike's residence on the Yellow Road, Castlecomer, for family and friends, from 4pm on Tuesday evening, concluding with rosary at 7pm. Funeral cortege arriving at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer, for Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 2.30pm followed by burial in the Crosshill Cemetery, Castlecomer. House Private please on Wednesday.

Roderick (Roddy) Carroll

The death has taken place of Roderick (Roddy) Carroll, Killarney, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Ladyswell, Danesfort, Co Kilkenny, peacefully, on Saturday, 19th February 2022. Predeceased by his brother Larry and sister Mary (Breen). Sadly missed by his wife Kathleen, daughters Anne Marie, Aileen and Diane, son Bill, grandchildren Carys, Cian and Rihanna, sons in law Gwynne and Rory, extended family, good neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence from 4pm to 7pm on Monday. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11am in St Kieran's Church, Tullaherin, Co. Kilkenny, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Maura Ryan (née) Gaule

The death has occurred of Maura Ryan (née Gaule), formerly of Lady Lane, Waterford and Piltown, Co Kilkenny. Aged 96, peacefully, in the wonderful care of Aperee Living, Ballygunner. Beloved wife of the late John and sister of the late Joe, Sean, Frank, Paddy and Dermot. Maura died on Saturday 19th February 2022. Deeply regretted by her children Ann, John and Rosemary, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren Ciara, Liadan, Shane, Barry, Cormac, Emma and Emer, brother Gerald (England), brother-in-law Jim (Wales), sisters-in-law Gill, Annette and Eileen, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mass cards can be posted to Robert Thompson Funeral Directors, Barrack Street, Waterford.

Daniel (Danny) Culleton

The death has occurred of Daniel (Danny) Culleton, Rathduff, Ballyragget, Kilkenny, who died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family, on Friday 18th February 2022. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Teresa, sons Alan, Jonathan and Oliver, daughter Janet, daughters-in-law, don-in-law, grandchildren, brother Joe, sister Peggy, sister-in-law Brigid, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Removal from his residence on Monday morning to St. Patricks Church, Ballyragget for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in St. Finnans Cemetry, Ballyragget.

Margaret Kiernan (née Staunton)

The death has occurred of Margaret Kiernan (née Staunton), Artane, Dublin, formerly Coolgraney, Kilkenny, on 17th February 2022. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, very sadly missed by her husband James and children Francis and Patrick, her sister Eileen, sisters-in-law Rosie and Ann, sister-in-law May, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Margaret will be reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Coolock on Monday, 21st February, 2pm to 4pm. Funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, 22nd February, at 11am at Our Lady Of Mercy, Artane followed by burial at St Kieran's Cemetery, Kilkenny.
