High number of patients on trolleys persists at St Luke's in Kilkenny

A surge in the number of patients waiting on a bed at St Luke's Hospital this week shows little sign of abating, with another high figure today from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

The latest INMO report shows 32 patients waiting for a bed, down from 36 yesterday (Tuesday). February has been a very busy month in the local hospital so far.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has called on the Oireachtas to investigate hospital overcrowding.
