WEATHER WARNING: Ice Warning issued by Met Eireann

A weather warning has been put in place with temperatures expected to plummet in Laois this evening. 

Hazardous conditions are expected on untreated roads and footpaths prompting Met Éireann to issue a Status Yellow Ice Warning for Laois and the rest of Ireland. 

The warning comes into place at 6pm and remains in place until midday on Monday. 

Met Éireann warns of “Icy stretches are likely on Sunday night and Monday morning. Hazardous travelling conditions are expected, especially on untreated roads and footpaths. Some patches of freezing fog are also possible.”
