Ballylinan village
Planning permission has been sought for almost 100 houses and a creche in a Laois village.
JC Brenco Developments Ltd has applied for the 99 houses and creche with 18 parking spaces at Rahin, Ballylinan.
The planned development includes 60 three bed two story semi detached houses, 12 four bed two storey semi detached houses, 12 two bed two storey semi detached properties and eight two bedroom single storey and seven four bed two storey detached houses.
The estate includes a new entrance for vehicles and pedestrians, internal access roads, paths and open communal spaces and connection to services.
A previous application by JC Brenco Ltd at the site included additional parking spaces and provision for a retail premises. However, it was withdrawn by the company on December 17.
The planning application was lodged with Laois County Council on January 20.
The case is due to be decided by March 16, 2023.
