Man to be tried for Portlaoise Robbery

Man remanded on €35,000 Laois drugs charge

Portlaoise District Court

A man is to be tried in the Circuit Court over a robbery in Portlaoise. 

Henry Cahill, 24, of 3 The Willows, Old Grange Wood, Monastervin, Kildare is accused of robbery at St Brigid’s Place, Portlaoise on July 27, 2021.

Detective Garda JP O’Brien said the defendant made no reply when charged. 

“The DPP directs trial on indictment,” said Det O’Brien. 

Judge John Brennan adjourned the case until March 16 for the service of the book of evidence.
