The Laois Camogie team who defeated Wexford

Leinster Minor 'B' Championship Semi-Final

The Laois Minor Camogie team are through to the Leinster Minor 'B' final following a comprehensive win over Wexford in the semi-final on Sunday afternoon.

Laois came into the game having beaten Carlow in the quarter finals the week previous. The succesive wins means that Laois are building up a head of steam as they approach the final.

Wexford 1-8

The game was a great contest between two young and energetic teams. Wexford started the game the quicker of the two sides as they raced into an early lead. They led at half-time by four points as it looked to be a step too far for this Laois team.
The away side would not be put off by Wexford's first-half showing as they took the game by the scruff of the neck and ran out ten-point winners in the end.

Laois were aided by a strong win as well two brilliant goals from substitute Kaylah O'Meara proved crucial as Laois ended up scoring two futher goals thanks to Caoimhe Cuddy and Aoife Gee.

Laois will play Meath in the Leinster final after the Royals defeated Kilkenny 1-17 to 1-06. The final is due to be played on Sunday, March 5.
